PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT The Enugu State Government hereby announces the commencement of a special verification exercise for eligible newly employed civil servants, pensioners, retirees, and Next-of-Kin who were unable to participate in previous verification exercises. The exercise is aimed at strengthening transparency, ensuring accurate records management, and facilitating the prompt processing of legitimate entitlements. CATEGORIES OF VERIFICATION The exercise shall cover the following categories: • New Employee Verification Verification of newly employed staff in the Enugu State Civil Service. • Pension Verification Verification for pensioners who were unable to complete or participate in earlier verification exercises. • Gratuity Verification Verification of retirees who are yet to complete gratuity verification or receive their gratuity payments. • Next of Kin Verification Verification of Next-of-Kin of deceased retirees who are eligible for gratuity payments or related entitlements. _____________________________ EXERCISE PERIOD The verification exercise will commence on: Monday, 18th May 2026 and will be conducted according to the schedule below: Category and Date Pensioners/Gratuity: Verification 18th – 22nd May 2026 New Employee Verification 25th – 29th May 2026 ______________________________ VERIFICATION VENUE The exercise will hold at: Local Government Staff Pension Board, Enugu Time: 8:00am daily ____________________________ ELIGIBILITY The following persons are eligible to participate: • Newly employed staff in the Enugu State Civil Service; • Pensioners who were unable to participate in previous verification exercises; • Retirees awaiting gratuity verification or payment; • Next of Kin of deceased retirees eligible for gratuity or related entitlements. ____________________________ REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR PENSIONERS, RETIREES AND NEXT OF KIN All eligible participants are required to present originals and photocopies of the following documents: 1. Notice of Retirement 2. ⁠. Online Verification Form Printout 3. Pension Identification Card 4. Pension Form and Pension Authority 5. Bank Verification Number (BVN) 6. National Identification Number (NIN) 7. Two (2) Recent Passport Photographs 8. Bank Statement of Account covering at least one (1) year 9. Death Certificate (for Next of Kin) 10. Letter of Administration or Sworn Affidavit (for Next of Kin) 11. Online Verification Form Printout 2. Letter of First Appointment Notification (Gen. 69C) 3. Letter of Confirmation of Appointment 4. Notification of Most Recent Promotion (Gen. 35, where applicable) 5. Baptismal Card or Birth Certificate/Age Declaration 6. Bank Verification Number (BVN) 7. National Identification Number (NIN) 8. Two (2) Recent Passport Photographs 9. First School Leaving Certificate. 10. West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Certificate First Degree or Equivalent Tertiary Qualification 11. As directed by the Executive Chairman, PPSMB Enugu, all staff who purchased APER forms for the recent promotion interviews are directed to forward their full names and account details to their respective CSPs for refunds. CSPs are, therefore , directed to try and conclude all refunds on or before 22nd May, 2026. NB: No staff should be subjected to come to the zonal office for such a small amount.
